How I Started My First Business with Zero Investment
No funding. No business degree.

Let me ask you something — how long have you been sitting on your business idea?
A few months? A year? Maybe longer?
Reasons can be different. You are trying:
To secure funding
To refine your business idea
To find the “right co-founder” to join you
Or something else…
I completely understand. I've been there.
But I also know exactly what that waiting costs you.
The start nobody talks about
Here's something I don't talk about enough.
At one point in my journey, I had pages and pages of business idea pitch decks. Slides with market research. Slides with revenue projections. Pages of logo and package designs.
I was incredibly busy, working day & night. But in reality, I don’t have a “business” build yet. All I had were papers.
That's the uncomfortable truth nobody tells you when you're deep in your idea: a pitch deck is not a business. A Notion board full of ideas is not a business. Having a logo is not a business.
A business starts the moment you offer a product / service to someone — and they say yes.
The mindset shift:
The real shift happened when I changed my whole approach.
I started gathering information on actually starting, and that too without external investment or in other words "bootstrapping".
I also did one more thing, an extreme thing to push myself more — I gave myself no “Plan B”.
When you remove the exit door, you stop looking for it.
I started building skills needed, invested in courses to learn how to start almost all types of businesses; freelancing, SaaS, service businesses, product businesses, e-commerce, e-books and so on.
And all those mentors helped me level up. I started building and launching businesses, one after another. I finally did it, all because of one single mindset shift: the decision to start with what I have instead of waiting.
How to figure out your starting point
First think about
What you already have (Skills/ time/ tech & other things)
What you already love to do (passion/ don’t hate it/ want to be known for it)
What a lot of people immediately need (in demand)
Find the converging area and figure out the business you can do with it, as a starting point.
The starting point business lets you enter the business world, understand your market better and lets you learn things about entrepreneurship faster.
Important:
You don't need a business degree. You don't need to come from a family of entrepreneurs. All you need is the strong will that you will not give up till you make it and the decision to do whatever it takes.
My first business taught me more than any MBA ever could — about clients, about myself, about what it actually takes to build something from nothing.
